About Brainard's Greenscapes

August is the green month here, whatever the rest of the country believes about deserts. Thunderheads pile over the valley by two o'clock, the rain comes hard and brief, and by the weekend every lawn in Las Cruces has put on an inch while every weed has developed ambitions. Brainard's Greenscapes rides that surge, mowing more often while the growing is fast, cutting the new sprawl back off the walks, pulling and clearing whatever the monsoon invited in. By the cooler end of September the yards are still holding their color, and that is the entire point.
