About Mencos Tree Services & Landscaping

At dusk in La Cienega the ravens head home over the coyote fences and the whole valley goes violet for about ten minutes before the stars start. Mencos Tree Services & Landscaping tends to be finishing right then — mower loaded, trimmer cooling, one last look down the edge of a walk to be sure the line runs true. Their days are built out of mowing, trimming, edging and carrying the cut material away so nothing sits and yellows. It is unglamorous and it is exacting, and those two go together more often than people think. Come morning the yard still holds that shape, waiting for the light to come over the mountains and show it off.
