Mario's yardwork and landscaping

About Mario's yardwork and landscaping

Morning comes to Farmington sideways, low gold slipping under the cottonwoods of the Animas bosque before the day gets hot enough to mean it. That is the hour Mario's yardwork and landscaping likes best for mowing, while the grass is still cool and the river air is still moving. Out here a lawn is something a person decides to have, coaxed up out of sandy ground at five thousand feet, and it deserves to be treated like the small green accomplishment it is. So the passes get walked straight, the edges get cut clean along the walk, and the clippings get carried off instead of left to scatter into the gravel. By the time the heat leans in, the yard looks settled, and the shade under the cottonwoods has the block to itself again.
