About AMF Clean Up

March in San Juan County sends the tumbleweeds running, and they stop at the first fence they meet. AMF Clean Up shows up after the wind with a truck and a plan, pulling the piles off fence lines and hauling out whatever the arroyos north of town delivered. Then the yard gets its lawn work — mowing, trimming, the edges brought back to a line — so a cleanup amounts to more than an absence. There is a particular pleasure in a property that was chest-deep in thistle on Friday and open ground by Saturday noon. Clean is a verb out here, and it takes a trailer.
