A-1 Lawn & Snow

About A-1 Lawn & Snow

Winter comes into Farmington off the San Juans to the north, and some mornings the whole valley stays stiff and silver until the sun clears the mesa. A-1 Lawn & Snow keeps its hours on the early end of the day, when the light is low and the work is quiet. Through the growing months that means mowing, edging and trimming — the even cut, the clean line where turf meets concrete, the corners done by hand. Cleanups gather what the cottonwoods let go along the Animas, which is a great deal more than most people expect. A yard finished before the neighborhood is fully awake is its own reward, and Farmington hands out plenty of mornings worth working in.
