About Crafted Tree Care Services

By late October the bosque burns yellow the length of the valley, and from a ladder in Corrales you can watch the Sandias go rose while the leaves come down in handfuls. Big valley cottonwoods carry a lot of weather in their crowns, and pruning them is mostly restraint — reduce the heavy ends, clear what has died back, let the tree keep being itself. Trimming the yard trees and the fruit wood is finer work, cut to a shape someone will look at every morning after. When a cottonwood finally goes brittle at the top, removal is staged limb by limb over the adobe and the fence line. And when a summer downburst rakes the village, storm damage cleanup gets the wood off the driveway and the ditch bank opened up again.
