Estrella-Santa Fe

About Estrella-Santa Fe

Estrella means star, a fitting name for a business at work where the night sky over the capital's southern hills still runs thick with them. Before those nights come the long working days, and Estrella-Santa Fe fills them caring for the lawns and grounds of Conejo. In late summer the monsoon builds every afternoon, thunder rolling over the arroyos and rain releasing that sharp perfume of wet dust. The storms are a gift and a test at once: grass leaps up, weeds race it, and a yard needs a steady hand to keep its shape. Mowing, trimming and clearing after the downpours keep each property composed while the western ridges go violet at sundown, and by the time the first stars appear the place looks finished.
