SMIGY'S LAWN SERVICE

About SMIGY'S LAWN SERVICE

August in Clovis saves its best hour for last. The heat finally breaks around seven, thunderheads stack up purple over the plains, and the whole neighborhood smells like rain on hot caliche and cut grass. SMIGY'S LAWN SERVICE knows what a monsoon week does to a yard — grass that gains an inch overnight, weeds that jump the beds, and grass clippings that need mowing, edging and trimming to get a lawn back under control. The crew works it into shape and hauls the clippings out, leaving a clean line where turf meets sidewalk and a hedge that holds its shape until the next cut. Out here the sky does most of the talking; the yard is where somebody answers back.
