About Roger That Property Pro’s

Six in the morning east of Cannon, and the sky over Clovis is the color of a struck match while the air is still cool enough to work in. Roger That Property Pro's takes the early hours on purpose — mowing and edging the base-side neighborhoods and in-town yards before ten o'clock, when the wind comes up off the flats and starts moving dust across the section roads. The mower goes out and back in straight lines, the trimmer cleans the mailbox posts and the fence corners, and the drives get blown down to bare concrete before the truck rolls on. By the time contrails are crossing overhead the block looks combed. Fall brings leaf work and cutbacks; the rest of the year is the honest repetition of a lawn kept even, week after week, on the high plains.
