Generous Hands

About Generous Hands

By late October the shade trees along the older Clovis streets start letting go all at once, and a yard can go from swept to buried between one wind and the next. Generous Hands works that stretch hard: leaves raked and hauled, beds stripped, the last mowings taken down before the grass goes dormant. The rest of the year it is steady cutting, edging, trimming and keeping shrubs in line. Some of these houses belong to people who cannot manage the work anymore, and a tidy front yard says plainly that somebody came by. That is reason enough to keep the trailer hitched.
