About Scott's Landscaping & Tree Services

November at Six Mile Dam, the water low and the cottonwoods finally letting go — the season when Carlsbad trees show exactly what they have been doing all year. Scott's Landscaping & Tree Services reads them then: dead limbs marked, crossing branches taken, canopies thinned before the winter wind can get a grip on them. The ground work runs right alongside — mowing while there is still growth, leaf and debris cleanup, hedges cut back, beds cleared, edges recut for the dormant months. Winter here is short and mostly mild, which makes it the right window for the heavy pruning nobody wants to attempt in August. Come March the yard leafs out looking like somebody planned it.
