Memi's lawn care

About Memi's lawn care

Toward evening in Carlsbad the swamp coolers come on, the white-winged doves start up in the elms, and people drift outside to water — the hour when a yard gets looked at closely. Memi's lawn care keeps yards ready for that hour: mowing on a rhythm, trimming around courtyard walls and rose beds, edging where the grass creeps onto the walk, pulling the weeds that come up along the fence after rain. Smaller lots get the same care as big ones, sometimes more, because every corner of them is in plain view. Clippings go with the crew. What remains is a tidy, breathing patch of green in a desert town, which is not a small thing at all.
