Xerocole Garden Center

About Xerocole Garden Center

March in the Mesilla Valley is the windy month, grit in the air, tumbleweed stacked on wire, everything waiting on the first honest warmth. Xerocole Garden Center meets Anthony's spring in that unruly stretch, clearing winter debris out of yards, putting down the first cuts of the year and trimming borders back true. Once the wind lays down and the desert willow starts, a lawn tended through the mess comes on well ahead of one that was left alone. It is satisfying work: a yard swept out, the grass cut level, the lines running straight where turf meets gravel. Anthony, La Mesa and the small valley settlements north toward Mesilla are the service range.
