Pacheco's Landscaping & Nursery

About Pacheco's Landscaping & Nursery

July afternoons build fast over the Sangre de Cristos: sun, then hail rattling the roof, then steam coming up off the road twenty minutes later. Pacheco's Landscaping & Nursery mows between those cloudbursts, when high-country grass is doing all of its growing at once and will not wait on anybody. Trimming follows the rock borders and the uneven ground that comes with building on a mountainside, and no cuttings stay behind on the drive. Thin soil and thin air make turf up here delicate, so it is cut often and never scalped. Standing in a finished yard with the wet spruce smell rolling down off the slope is its own small reward.
