La Barge Landscape

About La Barge Landscape

In winter the sandhill cranes drop into the fields along the river and call all afternoon, a sound that carries clean across the North Valley. La Barge Landscape looks after the Alameda and river-road properties through those cold months and back into the green ones. Mowing, edging, string trimming, weed clearing and cleanups that leave a yard swept down to the ground. There is a plain kind of pride in the last look back before the truck pulls out: lines even, edges true, nothing left behind. This valley has been farmed and tended a long while, and keeping a yard here is a small part of that.
