Desert Roots Landscaping

About Desert Roots Landscaping

Late June, and the air over the city is dry enough to take the sweat before it lands, so every green thing in the yard is living on what its roots can find. Desert Roots Landscaping keeps those yards through the hard middle of the year: mowing, edging, trimming, pulling weeds before they seed, clearing what the wind piles against the wall. The cut goes higher in the heat so the grass can shade its own crown, which is the difference between a mow and actual care. Standing under a mulberry at midday with a lawn just cut, the smell coming up off it, the whole trade makes sense. This is a desert city that insists on gardens anyway, and somebody has to keep the promise.
