About Holmes Landscaping, inc

The Passaic swings a long slow bend past Woodland Park, and on a July evening the river air comes up through the streets and takes the edge off the day. Holmes Landscaping, inc is usually finishing about then — last cut of the route, trimmings blown off the walk, the lawn striped and cooling. The season's routine is mowing, string trimming around fences, poles and foundations, and edges recut so every border reads as a line rather than a suggestion. The clearings at either end of the year decide how the rest of it goes, so they get their time. This is a hillside town of close lots and steep little front yards, and getting one of them right is a genuinely good feeling.
