The first genuinely warm Saturday of the year does something to Woodbury: windows open along the side streets off Broad, kids out front, and every lawn suddenly looking shaggy in the new light. Ozzie's Lawn Care starts its season about then, working the corner lots and narrow side yards that make up so much of this town. Mowing first, then the trimmer along the fences and the beds, then a straight line drawn down the walk. Nothing complicated about any of it; it is arriving when you said you would, cutting it even, and cleaning up behind yourself. A yard that gets that treatment all season quietly outshines the one that got a heroic effort in May and nothing after.
