About Ridge Landscaping

Wood-Ridge earns the second half of its name on any street that climbs — the yards step up in terraces, and from the top of one the Manhattan skyline sits on the horizon like a rumor. Ridge Landscaping mows those grades with the slope in mind, cutting across the pitch rather than down it, so the turf holds and the lines stay even on ground that will not sit still. Trimming cleans the retaining walls and the stone steps that nearly every hillside lot in this borough seems to have. In March the beds get stripped of winter debris; in November the leaves come off before the first freeze. A tidy front yard on a slope is a quiet piece of engineering, and it shows from the sidewalk.
