By late October the oaks around Braddock let go all at once, and half of Winslow Township goes ankle-deep in leaves the wind keeps rearranging. Grass that goes into winter clean comes out of it thicker. The work is unglamorous and it shows immediately, which is most of the appeal. A raked, cut yard in November light has a quiet order to it.
