October is the island's best-kept secret: the boardwalk goes quiet, the light turns long and gold, and Wildwood finally belongs to the people who live here. Blue Moose Landscaping does some of its steadiest work in that season — fall cleanups, leaf and debris clearing, the last mows that put a yard to bed for the winter. Through the warm months it is the weekly rhythm instead: cut, edge, trim, and off to the next block before the heat sets in. Sand, salt wind and a full summer of foot traffic are hard on turf, and bringing a lawn back to even and green is the whole point of showing up. Wildwood and the towns along the island get the same attention either way.
