About DHI Tree Services in Bergen County, NJ
Autumn on Westwood Avenue means leaves on the awnings, leaves on the platform, and leaves packed into every gutter from Old Hook Road on out. DHI Tree Services works Westwood and the Bergen County towns around it, pruning street trees back off wires and storefront signs, cutting crowns clear of older rooflines, and removing whatever the last few winters have finished. This valley takes its weather in bursts — a fast line of wind, an inch of heavy wet snow — and the trees that come through are the ones that were thinned before it got here. When a limb does land across a driveway, they clear it and leave the pavement swept behind them. People notice the tree still standing; nobody notices the one that never came down. That is the job.
