By late October the maples around Tory Corner let go all at once, and West Orange becomes a leaf-hauling town for a solid month. Charles and Son Construction & Landscaping, Inc handles that stretch the way it handles the rest of the year — mowing while the grass still grows, then blowing, gathering and carting off everything that falls. In between, beds get mulched, edges get recut, and shrubs get trimmed back off the walkways. A yard raked down to green in November is a small, complete thing. So is a mowed lawn in June, and the same attention goes into both.
