Skylands Lawn &Tree Service

About Skylands Lawn &Tree Service

Vernon sits in the Skylands, high enough that a December storm which leaves the rest of the state merely wet leaves these hills white clear back to the Kittatinny ridgeline. Skylands Lawn &Tree Service works both ends of that year: mowing, trimming and cleanups through the green months, plowing and de-icing when the elevation gathers what the lowlands miss entirely. Midday in a storm is the quiet stretch — the morning push behind you, the afternoon one still coming, the sky the color of a nickel over the mountain. In summer those same properties take the weekly cut, the edges run clean along walks and drives, and the clippings get cleared off before the crew rolls on. Two seasons, one route, and the same idea underneath both: keep the ground usable for the people living on it.
