About Bergholz's Tree Experts

Out in Upper Pittsgrove the horizon runs long — corn stubble, a hedgerow, a farmhouse and its two big trees standing up against all that sky. Bergholz's Tree Experts works those farmyards and the roads spoking out from the Pole Tavern crossing, where one silver maple can be the entire shade of a property and worth keeping sound. Winter is their pruning season: leaves down, ground firm, and every crossing branch showing itself plain before a saw ever touches it. When a summer thunderhead walks across the fields and drops half a tree into the lane, they clear it, cut it into rounds, and rake the drive back down to gravel. A farm tree looked after becomes a landmark, and out here you can pick it out from a mile off.
