Route 22 through Union never really goes dark, and on a February night the plow lights out there are just part of the traffic. J&A Landscape and Snow Services works that hour — pushing driveways open, cutting a path to the front step, putting salt down before the first car backs out. Come May the same trucks carry mowers instead of blades, and the work turns to weekly cutting, trimming and cleanups on the very same streets.
