There is an hour in late September when the sun comes level down State Street and the gold dome of the State House goes bright over the rooftops, and the whole city looks briefly designed. Edin Landscaping and Design works in that spirit, thinking about how a property is composed as well as how it is maintained: where a bed should curve, how a border meets a walk, which shrubs will hold the shape of a front yard once the leaves are gone. Through the growing season that means mowing, edging, mulching and trimming on a schedule; through winter it means plowing the drives and clearing the walkways so the same property stays usable in a foot of snow. Autumn cleanups here are serious work, with the sycamores and maples of central Trenton dropping steadily into December. Good design only stays good if someone keeps it, and this is a business set up to do both.
