Snow reaches this corner of New Jersey earlier and heavier than most of the state, banking up along the ridges toward High Point while the rest of the map gets rain. Vealey landscaping is out ahead of the alarm clocks on those nights — plowing driveways, clearing walks down to the surface and putting salt where the ice would otherwise form, so the first person out the door in the morning finds the way already open. When the white finally goes off the fields, the same routes come back around green: mowing, trimming, edging and the cleanups that reset a property in spring and again in late fall. Two very different kinds of early morning, one set of yards, all year. A drive cleared before dawn and a lawn cut crisp in July are the same promise kept in different weather.
