About David Ash Jr. Landscape Contractors

First light in Surf City comes off the Atlantic and lands on the dune grass before it ever reaches anybody's yard. David Ash Jr. Landscape Contractors takes the lawn work on that side of the island — the regular mow, the trimming around outdoor showers and fence lines, the cleanups that bracket the season at both ends. Grass on a sandbar grows in short bright bursts, and keeping it even takes attention to how fast the sun and salt pull the color out. There is a real pleasure in finishing a corner lot by eight in the morning, lines straight, walk cleared, the whole thing tidy before the beach traffic starts moving. House after house, all summer, that is the standard.
