About Bluestone Contracting Corp

February settles over Somerdale in one flat sheet of gray, and the borough's short blocks stay quiet well before the first train runs east. Bluestone Contracting Corp is out in that hour, pushing snow off driveways and cutting walkways down to bare pavement while the streetlights are still doing the work of the sun. Salt goes where the shade keeps its grip longest — the north side of a garage, the low foot of a sloped drive, the seam where a lot meets the curb. There is real satisfaction in how it looks afterward: one clean line along the edge, a path wide enough to walk two abreast, a morning that opens as if nothing had happened. South Jersey storms rarely announce themselves far ahead, so the forecast stays on all winter.
