Midsummer on the island, and everything grows at once — including what nobody planted. Along the streets off JFK Boulevard the work is keeping lawns clean and even: mowing, weed control through the turf and the beds, trimming around fences and foundations, and edging so the grass stops exactly where it should. Sand, salt and heat make for a stubborn growing season here, and a lawn that stays uniform through August took real attention to get there. The other half of the calendar is snow — plowing the drives, shoveling the walks, salting the ice out of the shaded spots. Same properties, same care, opposite weather.
