By late May the sycamores along Sea Girt's avenues have leafed all the way out, Wreck Pond is bright, and the borough's deep front lawns need cutting every week to keep up with the ocean damp. Lawn care means mowing at that pace, trimming around trunks and hedges, edging the long walks and drives, and clearing the trimmings so the finish is complete. When the season flips, it's plowing those same drives, shoveling paths to the door, and putting salt where shade won't let the ice go. This is a town of generous yards near the water, and generous yards show every line you cut into them. Cutting those lines clean is the whole pleasure of it.
