Titan Snow and Ice Management

About Titan Snow and Ice Management

At midnight in a Rutherford snowstorm the wind comes up off the Meadowlands with nothing to slow it, and the borough's ridge takes the brunt. That's the hour this work happens: blades down, driveways and lots opened, walks shoveled to bare surface, ice melt laid before the temperature drops again and turns slush to glass. Snow and ice management means watching the storm rather than the clock — going back out for the second push, the drift that reformed, the apron the town plow filled back in. By the time Rutherford's kitchen lights start coming on, the pavement is dark and wet and passable. Nobody has to think about it, which is exactly the intention.
