About Snow Plow NJ

A Union County snow usually arrives on a raw wind off Newark Bay, and by two in the morning Roselle is a grid of white streets with nobody in them yet. Snow Plow NJ is out in those hours — plowing driveways, clearing walks and steps, opening the aprons the borough plows have just packed shut, spreading salt before the ice can set. The measure of the night is a car that backs out at six without any trouble. Between storms the trucks wait, and when the sky goes that low flat gray over the rooftops everybody knows what is coming. Getting a street's worth of homes dug out before first light is the kind of work that makes a morning ordinary, which is exactly what a morning should be.
