About Balitano

On a May morning the streets fall away block by block toward the meadow flats, and the sun reaches the low ends last. Balitano keeps Ridgefield's lawns on that grade — mowing the front squares and back strips, running the edger along the sidewalks, trimming the hedged property lines that give a Bergen County street its shape. Yards here are compact, which means the finish is everything: nothing left on the walk, nothing shaggy against the fence. Spring and fall cleanups clear what blows down the slope and settles in the corners. A row of neighbors cut on the same morning makes a whole block look right.
