Raritan grew up around a mill and the water power canal that fed it, and the lots along those old brick streets run narrow, deep and full of odd corners. FTS Landscaping starts the year on them in April: raking winter out of the yard, cutting the beds back in, aerating and overseeding the thin spots so the turf fills before the heat arrives. Through summer it settles into a mow-and-trim rhythm, week after week, with the edge kept honest against the sidewalk. When the cold turns, the work swings to plowing and shoveling, driveways cleared and walks opened and treated before the ice can set. Same properties, opposite season, the same patience with the awkward corners.
