About Green Point Tree Services

The Princeton Ridge is diabase rock sitting barely under the leaf litter, and the oaks up there hold on with roots wrapped over boulders — magnificent, and never as anchored as they look. Green Point Tree Services works that terrain: removals where a leaning oak has run out of soil, trimming for clearance on the narrow roads through the ridge woods, pruning that takes weight off a long horizontal limb before ice ever finds it. A January glaze storm is the real examination, and the days after it are cutting, dragging and chipping from first light. Then the driveway is open, the roof is clear, and the woods edge is squared away. Tree work up here mostly looks, afterward, like nothing ever happened, which is exactly the point.
