By April the ball fields at Community Park are being chalked again, and every lawn in Point Pleasant is deciding whether or not it made it through the winter. Pfeifer Landscaping LLC helps them decide — cleanup first, then feeding, seed into the thin spots, and the first cut that makes a yard look like a yard once more. After that it is weekly mowing, trimming and edging in an unbroken line all the way to the leaves. Turf is a slow project won in small steady increments, never in one dramatic afternoon. Come July, the lawns that were tended in April are the ones still holding their color.
