Irving's Home

About Irving's Home

By August the hemlocks and oaks around the lake throw so much shade that half a yard grows one way and half grows another. Irving's Home works those mixed conditions in the Pines Lake neighborhoods, mowing at the height the grass can actually hold, trimming around trunks and lakeside fences, keeping beds edged and mulched so the shade lines look deliberate. Afternoons here smell like water and warm needles, and the mower has gone quiet again by the time the light drops behind the ridge. Cleanups come in spring and again in fall, when the leaf load is the entire job. What gets left behind is a yard that feels tended rather than merely cut.
