About FMR Building Services Corp

Four in the morning on Convery Boulevard, the storm still coming in sideways off the water, and the lots have to be clear before the first cars turn in. FMR Building Services Corp handles snow removal and lawn care in Perth Amboy, which means the same properties twice a year over: plowed and salted in the dark of January, mowed and trimmed in the long light of July. There is a particular satisfaction in a lot with its lines showing again, curb to curb, while the rest of the street is still white. Come summer the work is quieter — grass held even along the storefront strips, edges kept tight where asphalt meets green. The city runs on those small openings, doors that swing at seven because somebody was out at four.
