April in the Lakeview section is all mud and possibility — the grass still flat from winter, the beds full of grit, everything waiting for somebody to make the first move. RMR and Brothers LLC makes it, opening the Paterson season with cleanups, then keeping the lawns cut, trimmed and edged straight through to the cold end of it. Winter leaves a yard tired, and raking out the matted thatch is what lets the green come back thick instead of patchy. Mulch goes down, borders get redrawn, and by the second or third cut the whole property has its posture back. Watching a lawn go from gray to full over a few weeks never really stops being satisfying.
