April in Passaic arrives as a color change more than a temperature. The grass along Third Ward Park comes back a shade at a time, and the yards on the blocks around it want feeding before the heat settles over the city. Feed Ur Lawn works that calendar — fertilization, weed control, overseeding the thin spots, and the mowing that carries through the months after. Turf that is fed in spring holds its green deep into the long humid weeks of July, and that is the entire point of the exercise. By the time the sycamores start shedding bark, the lawn has thickened enough to carry itself into next year.
