November is the hinge of the year here. One week it is leaf blowers along the ballfield fences at Smith Field and the last mow of the season; the next, the plow is bolted on and everybody is watching the sky. MacKenzie Services works both halves of that calendar in Parsippany — mowing, trimming, edging, mulch and cleanups from thaw to hard frost, then plowing driveways, shoveling walkways and salting once the coastal storms start climbing north. The changeover is abrupt around here, but the standard does not move.
