About Delia Brother's Landscaping

Late August in Lake Hiawatha smells like cut grass and warm asphalt, and the cicadas keep going long after the last mower shuts off. Delia Brother's Landscaping works the tight grid off North Beverwyck Road, where the lawns are small, square and close enough together that a sloppy edge shows from three houses away. So the edges get done right: trimmed along the fence line, cleaned off the sidewalk, clippings collected instead of left drifting into the neighbor's driveway. Mowing, trimming, hedge work and the cleanups that bookend the season are the whole of it, and the block is better for the attention. Evening light comes down the street and every lawn on it looks like somebody is keeping track.
