Beautiful Landscapes

About Beautiful Landscapes

Snow changes Mount Tabor more than it changes anywhere else in Parsippany: the narrow lanes go quiet, the gingerbread trim on the old cottages fills in white, and the slopes that were charming in July turn into a real problem by six in the morning. Beautiful Landscapes clears those tight drives and steep porch steps, working with a shovel where a plow has no business going. Snowblowing the walks, breaking the ice at the foot of the stairs, laying salt so the treads hold underfoot — small work, done carefully, on streets laid out long before anyone owned a truck. The payoff is a cleared path curving up to a front door and a lane that looks like a postcard instead of a hazard. Down off the hill, the flatter blocks get the same attention with more room to swing.
