Denny Wiggers Garden Center

About Denny Wiggers Garden Center

Before the highways came through, Paramus grew celery in long dark rows, and something of that market-garden soil is still under the borough's front yards. Denny Wiggers Garden Center tends what grows on top of it now — lawns mowed and edged, trimmed at the borders, cleaned up when spring opens and again when fall closes. June here is generous: rain enough, sun enough, grass that will get away from you in a week if nobody is paying attention. Somebody is. The pleasure of it lands on a Saturday afternoon when the mower is put away and the whole yard sits there green and squared off and finished.
