April in Palisades Park arrives as forsythia along the chain link and a sudden green on lawns the size of a living room. Green Acres Inc opens the season with cleanups, then settles into the rounds, mowing, edging along the concrete, trimming wherever grass meets a wall or a post. The borough falls away toward Leonia and Ridgefield, so half these yards are terraced and have to be cut in sections. Doing them properly means finishing each one squared off and swept, curb to step. It is the kind of upkeep nobody notices until it stops.
