Visionary Landscapes

About Visionary Landscapes

Come up the rise toward Haworth and you can read Old Tappan's shape — low wooded ridges, streets bending with them, houses set well back on sloping ground. Visionary Landscapes works that terrain in both directions of the year: plowing and shoveling the pitched drives in winter, salting the north-facing bends that hold ice into the afternoon, then mowing, edging and trimming those same slopes once the thaw takes hold. Cleanups in spring and again in fall clear whatever the wind has stacked against the treeline. Grade makes every property here a little different, and that is half the interest of the work. The other half is the finish — a clean surface, a crisp edge, nothing left to sweep.
