At three in the morning the only thing moving on De Wolf Road is a set of plow lights. LRC Landscaping runs the storm while the town sleeps — pushing driveways and lots wide open, shoveling the steps and front walks by hand, salting the slick spot at the bottom of every sloped drive. By June those same properties want mowing, edging and trimming along the fence lines instead, and the truck trades its blade for a deck. Cleanups bookend the growing season, hauling out what March left in the corners and what October drops on top of it. Two very different jobs, one measure: what the homeowner sees when the door swings open.
