Snow Plows & Salt Spreaders

About Snow Plows & Salt Spreaders

The streets of Ogdensburg pitch and turn the way borough streets in the Highlands always do, and in a February thaw-and-freeze the whole place can glaze over between lunch and dusk. Snow Plows & Salt Spreaders exists for exactly those hours: plowing drives and lots, spreading salt on the pitched aprons and the shaded stretches where meltwater runs back across the pavement and hardens. Ice on a steep Sussex driveway is not an inconvenience, it is the reason nobody leaves, and treating it early is the whole point. There is a particular satisfaction in walking a cleared lot afterward and finding grit underfoot and no shine anywhere. Storm after storm, the same rounds, until the hills let go in March.
